- The deadline for entries is 1700hrs (BST) on Mon 8 Sept '08
- We no longer accept postal entries. Only films submitted via our online enry system will be accepted.
- The duration of your film(s) must not exceed 90 seconds including titles and credits.
- Only films completed since September ‘07 may be submitted. Whilst we do not have a premiere policy, we positively encourage entries made specifically for DepicT!
- The maximum number of entries per individual is two.
- The primary contact completing the submission process must be authorised to submit the film(s) and must have obtained necessary permissions for the inclusion of copyrighted music and/or images within the films.
- If the original language is not English, it does not necessarily have to be subtitled in English, but please bear in mind that the judging will be conducted in the English language.
- When exporting, please make sure your compressed version is good enough quality for us to judge. As a rough guideline, it should not be smaller than 320x240 pixels, and not less than 15fps. If your film(s) is /are shortlisted, you will be asked to send in a higher resolution version for screening at Encounters Festival and for the Digital Screen Network.
- Any titles, credits, subtitling you decide to include must be at least 30 pixels in height to ensure visibility and must also be within the ‘title safe’ area.
- Please note that only the director(s) will be credited on the website and any other promotional material.
- In the case of shortlisted and/or winning co-directors, multiple prizes may be granted at the discretion of the organisers.
